We have just had our annual assessment from Visit Britain and been awarded 4 star GOLD for the third year running. Yippee!

In the words of the assessor, Dalraddy Cottage is " A very well maintained and presented property that continues to offer a very good standard of accommodation for its market. Well practiced booking and administration procedures with comprehensive well presented web site offering
relevant information to prospective guests.
Again well handled arrival procedures with guests benefiting from a personal welcome and extensive welcome hamper which is very much appreciated by guests."

We have also recently been awarded the Staffordshire Environmental Quality Mark.

The assessors said:

"Your application demonstrates that you are taking many steps to reduce the environmental impact
of your business. Upon making its decision, the Panel made the following comments: “Dalraddy
Cottage is a committed custodian of Cannock Chase AONB and guests are made fully aware of
its beauty and the need to protect it. Information on how to recycle is clear and the use of local
produce for welcome hampers is to be commended.”

We have been awarded 4 star GOLD for the third year running, which is testament to the hard work and effort to continually upgrade the cottage. Only a very few cottages achieve this accolade nationwide and keeping it for a third year is even harder.

Beat the credit crunch! If you're in the UK why not beat the credit crunch and the weak pound and book a break in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. With the Euro at almost equal to a pound it makes holidays in Europe very expensive.

If however you're in Europe or the USA, holidays in the Uk have never looked more favourable. The pound won't be this low for ever......... Our bookings from outside the UK are already up on last year - there's obviously some canny folk out there. 2012 is almost full! 2013 calendar going on the website very soon..............

Charity fundraising:

You may be interested to learn that in July 2008 I travelled to Russia on my Triumph Rocket 3 trike to raise money for breast cancer care. I rode 3700 miles through 16 countries in 18 days!

Raised so far £5372.80!!!! Although my initial target was £5000, I am still collecting for breast cancer care through giving talks and riding my bike around Europe and Scandinavia.
